The MIAPA ontology is an application ontology to formalize annotation of phylogenetic data according to the emerging Minimum Information About a Phylogenetic Analysis (MIAPA) metadata reporting standard. Please see Leebens-Mack et al. (2006) for the initial introduction of MIAPA.
